Februaryyy in a nut shell

It's officially been over a month since my last blog entry. In the last month I have had my best friend come home, turned 22, and been to Seattle. To say it's been a busy month is a bit of an understatement. Although this is coming from someone who spends most of her days in a hospital waiting room, in a hospital bed or more favorably on her couch. ;D

Sooo.... I turned 22!!!! What an amazing adventure my life has been so far. My life is not glamorous, but I sure feel privileged to be living it. This year I felt super lucky to have several days of celebration, celebrating with (most) of my favorite people. It was an incredible birthday! I had so much fun. Of course the only picture of me is the goofiest thing that ever existed. My niece and nephew don't look super psyched to be on my lap, but I sure look happy to have them.

Of course the following week was busy too. I had 2 transplant clinic appointments in Seattle. So we went up to Seattle for 4 days. I actually got to go somewhere interesting. Usually we are only there for like a day so we don't really do anything. Even though I was really exhausted after the first day, it was still a lot of fun. But pretty much anything is fun when I have a Jena Brown by my side. That girl has been my little lifesaver/good luck charm all month. Love you Jbear!!

My pains have been pretty out of control this month, I've been trying really hard to manage them, but it's difficult when there are so many and they're all in different spots. That's been a struggle, but it doesn't matter that much to me. I somehow find a way to beat on. I'm due for another hospital stay in about a week and a half, so I'll have to up my gabapentin dose or something. Drrruuuugggsss! I'm all about em'. But my life is ALWAYS going to rely on modern day medicine and the massive amount of pills I take. As long as my memory holds up, I think I'll be alright. Haha!

At the end of crazy February I'm thinking to myself wow, is it really over and thank god it's over. It was the best Feb I've had in years, literally. Last year I was trying to get on the list, the year before that I looking down the barrel of a gun and "decided" to get a transplant. I can say with complete sincerity and enthusiasm that it was the best time I've had in awhile, and holy shit I'm exhausted!
Gotta live life on the edge sometimes, although I'm glad to be making up my loafing time - these times will not last forever.

I will try to keep updating, I'm just so very forgetful and lazy when it comes to blogging. I am on facebook all the time though, and I also have a new Pinterest account
http://pinterest.com/pheerosem/
Check it out, and follow me if you want. I am addicted to it! Love it so much.

And finally, to EVERYONE who made my February so incredible, a very loving and deep thank you. The main contributors (as always) My mom, my Morgan, Jena, Shane, Aunt Jeanine, Nana, and my puppies. I couldn't make it a day without any of you. I am so extremely lucky to have all of you in my life - and jeeezzusss IN THE SAME HOUSE!!!

Love to everyone,

Phee

A ports life comes to an end

Hello my dear blog readers,

I have been on a wild ride since September when I had that port placed. After 3 hospital stays and several months, it finally failed me. No surprise there, huh? Well you can imagine how upset I was, considering everything I had gone through because of it. That's the way it works sometimes though, ports don't have a lifetime guarantee. Ha! I will admit that this last one could have been a lot better.
GOOD NEWS IS.... On Tuesday I had the surgery to have it taken out. It was soooo easy! I can't even believe it. And that concludes the story of Phoebe and her ports. I hope I never have to consider that again. What's really cool though is that I had none of the after surgery symptoms that I had last time. I've been awake, don't have a migraine, haven't been constantly nauseated all of which is amazing. I'm still  in the hospital but I'm getting out today. I've been waiting for my INR level to go up, it's really frustrating. I've had to endure these nasty Lovenox shots, and my tummy bruising until my INR was 1.6
this is what I look like:

F*ing ridiculous!

My bestest friend in the whole world is moving back to Oregon. My Jena B. is incredible! No matter how many people I meet and love, Jena will always be my best friend. Oh my dear, I can't wait for all the adventures we are going to have.

I'm going to leave on that very happy note. Because honestly, nothing could make me happier right now, than to see my darling girls face.

Oh my, in less than 24 hours I'll be with my pups again!!

Good night my dears, wish you all sweet dreams and lots of love.

Life is GRAND

WOW! Just wow. Hello world, hellooo internet.
I have been without internet for almost 2 weeks, which seems like FOREVER. I'm hanging out at a Starbucks in St. Helens waiting for my dogs to get groomed. Thankfully because they have wifi I can connect with the world at a higher pace. Waiting for my iphone to load blogger without wifi is hell.

So let me update you real quick on the happenings of my life.

I MOVED! Mo and I moved all of our stuff into the new house a week and a half ago. It's been so crazy. We were sleeping in one of the little rooms downstairs until our room was done being painted. But it is now, and we have moved into our new digs. It's like 3 times as much space! It's been so fun setting up our space. Of course neither of us can wrap our heads around how big it is in there. The baby pups haven't seen it yet. My parents are still moving out of the other house, and are keeping the dogs till they are with us in the house. Mostly because with Morgan gone at work all day, it'd be really hard for me to take care of them. I'm so worn out, and now I have stairs to confront. UGH! I've been doing pretty good, I take breaks if I need them, but even then I'm out of breath when I hit the top.

LIFE IS GRAND!

Morgan is gone for the next 5 days. He's visiting family and friends in Sacramento and San Jose with his brother and parents. I'm using this valuable alone time to set up our room, and hopefully (fingers crossed) PAINT. I haven't been able to in a while with all my weird health stuff, and the moving thing. But NOW I have all the space, privacy, and time to finish this painting - and FINALLY get it to the person who paid me for it in advance. I feel like a total shit because it's taken so long. I have it all planned out, and now I have the kind of set up that I needed to get it done. I LOOOOVE IT!

Anyways, I am on a 5 day run of Prednisone to give me a little boost. It's just the boost I needed too. The last 2 weeks have been so stressful, and I had to use all the reserves I gained in the hospital for moving. I will probably go into the hospital the beginning part of December, so I can be home for Christmas. WHICH IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!

Super hungry now, so I'm gonna go get some food with my pal. She gave up her whole day of leisure so that I wouldn't be alone on this trip. She's a sweetie!  ;)

The only way for me to communicate is through facebook and my phone, but obviously most of you don't have my cell number. Duh! But my facebook is open for business.

Love,

Phee

p.s. please pray that I get internet soon!!!!!!

Home

I am officially HOME! I got out of the hospital on Friday, and was home for Halloween. It was the first time in 2 years that I was able to be home for Halloween. :D Not that I did anything particularly exciting, but it was one less holiday spent in the hospital.

Very exciting stuff people!

We are getting ready for moving. After 8 years in this house, I can't believe that we are finally getting out of it. I love a lot of things about this house, but it's been pretty cramped for the last few years and I'm getting so tired of it. Living in a small room with another pack rat, is just horrendous. Anyways, while babe is at work I'll be packing up as much as I can.

Today I have the unfortunate task of doing our laundry. My least favorite job EVER. Actually, no... cleaning out the fridge, and pulling hair out of the drain top that. But I'd literally puke if I did those things, and no one really wants that. Thankfully!!!

The house is freezing and all I want to do is hop into a warm shower.

Hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween!

Love,

Phee
