A ports life comes to an end

Hello my dear blog readers,

I have been on a wild ride since September when I had that port placed. After 3 hospital stays and several months, it finally failed me. No surprise there, huh? Well you can imagine how upset I was, considering everything I had gone through because of it. That's the way it works sometimes though, ports don't have a lifetime guarantee. Ha! I will admit that this last one could have been a lot better.
GOOD NEWS IS.... On Tuesday I had the surgery to have it taken out. It was soooo easy! I can't even believe it. And that concludes the story of Phoebe and her ports. I hope I never have to consider that again. What's really cool though is that I had none of the after surgery symptoms that I had last time. I've been awake, don't have a migraine, haven't been constantly nauseated all of which is amazing. I'm still  in the hospital but I'm getting out today. I've been waiting for my INR level to go up, it's really frustrating. I've had to endure these nasty Lovenox shots, and my tummy bruising until my INR was 1.6
this is what I look like:

F*ing ridiculous!

My bestest friend in the whole world is moving back to Oregon. My Jena B. is incredible! No matter how many people I meet and love, Jena will always be my best friend. Oh my dear, I can't wait for all the adventures we are going to have.

I'm going to leave on that very happy note. Because honestly, nothing could make me happier right now, than to see my darling girls face.

Oh my, in less than 24 hours I'll be with my pups again!!

Good night my dears, wish you all sweet dreams and lots of love.
